Vipère - Handmade Journal
I'm so excited to share these handmade journals with you, which I make in small batches with repurposed covers from antique books. Each one is unique, featuring different designs, stitch patterns, and materials.
This journal is bound with natural linen, and sewn on a tape of heavy handmade paper for added stability. I've lined the inside of the boards with some special laid paper, dating to around 1800, which describes various snake species.
Vipère is filled with 84 sheets (168 pages) of 80 lb Strathmore recycled drawing paper, hand-cut for a lightly deckled edge. It's a very nice weight, soft white, and acid free - it's perfect for writing, drawing, and possibly light watercolor washes. The book opens completely flat.
Journal measures 6 1/2” x 4”.
I hope you'll create something you can treasure!
