Album with Sea Mosses and Lithographs
A truly exquisite little album of the most delicate sea moss specimens and a variety of carte de visite "fillers," or little lithographs that were used in place of photographs and were considered just as special by their collectors! The album includes a mix of sepia fillers and a series of roses in color.
The album is in very good condition and features blind stamped cloth covers and an ornate engraved brass clasp closure, and gilt page edges.
