1920s Silk Beaded Butterfly Purse

A very fun, beautifully handmade 1920s purse made of blue silk and heavy, colorful glass bead weaving. The dedicate beaded fringe has held up all this time, and contains a variety of colors! Handles are made of twisted silk cord threaded through celluloid loops.

Purse measures 12” long and 6 1/2” at widest point; handles have an 11” drop . Good, sturdy condition with some light rust staining or fading (see photos.) Beadwork and fringe are in beautiful condition with very few missing beads. 

Lined with patterned silk. Contains an interior pocket.
