Decadence - Handmade Journal
I'm so excited to share these handmade journals with you, which I slowly make in small batches with repurposed covers from antique books. Each one is unique, featuring different cover designs, stitch patterns, and materials.
This journal features a beautiful Nouveau cover - the design reminds me of lilies emerging in spring. The journal is sewn by hand with natural flax linen thread, and bound with repurposed leather. The covers are lined with intricately marbled paper.
Filled with 72 sheets (144 pages) of 80 lb Strathmore recycled drawing paper, hand-cut for a lightly deckled edge. It's a very nice weight, soft white, and acid free - perfect for writing, drawing, and possibly light watercolor washes. The flexible binding allows the book to open completely flat.
Measures 7 3/8” x 4 3/4”.
I hope you'll create something you can treasure!
