19th-Century Petersyn Fortune Cup

Incredible, rare Petersyn china fortune telling cup and saucer from the late 19th century. The design is so striking, decorated around the rim with flying witches on broomsticks, and the inside of the cup is filled with mysterious symbols for reading the tea leaves.

The cup has a hairline crack that does not detract from its beauty, but it is a noted flaw. The images inside the cup, as well as the witches on the rim are clean and bright and the plate is in good condition.

Teacup measures 3 1/2" in diameter, 2 3/8" tall; the plate is 5 1/4" diameter.
